CANCELLATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS:

Monday, September 6, Labor Day, all classes canceled EXCEPT 5:45pm Level 2 with Carolyn

Storm Cancellation Policy:

The decision to cancel a class depends on the weather, where the teacher is coming from and the type of class. Please check the office answering machine to see if a class is being held. The machine will be updated at least one hour prior to the class that is being canceled. You may also visit the Announcements page of this website however, the answering machine 254-9642 is the best bet for accurate information.

Beach cancellation policy:

If it is raining, the decision to cancel or relocate a beach yoga or qi gong/tai chi class depends on the nature of the weather and studio availability. The studio can be used as a back up for yoga on Saturday but not Sunday. The roof under Penfield I can also be an option. The best bet is to go to the beach and see what is happening there. If no one is at the beach (check Penfield II also renamed the Jacky Durrell Pavilion, Penfield I, and the sand), on Saturday go to the studio for yoga, on Sunday class is cancelled. It is also possible that the studio phone will have a message posted but it is not always possible to do this before class starts at 7 a.m.

SEVA Program

Seva (pronounced say-va) is the sanskrit word for selfless service.
The Seva Program is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer and connect with your yoga community. We have many opportunities available. From working at the front desk, to cleaning and decorating the studio, to helping in the office or with marketing there are a variety of tasks to chose from. To show our appreciation to our Seva program students they are welcome to participate in regular classes at no cost. One hour of work is exchanged for one regularly scheduled class.
Seva students also meet two times per year to connect with each other and Y4E teachers and staff.
We are looking for people who are friendly, outgoing, have strong computer skills (if the front desk is where you want to help) and organizational skills and of course a love of yoga! We prefer that desk staff commit to at least 3 classes per week. You get a free class for each class you sign-in or hour that you work (you do not need to take the class you sign in). We like all Seva students to make a minimum 6 month commitment to their service.
Please send us an email with your skills and your interest in participating in this program.
