Level 1 Yoga
This yoga class is open to new and experienced students. It includes a centering, stretches, asanas (yoga postures) standing, sitting and lying down, with explanations of how to come in and out of postures. There is attention to breathing and alignment of the body. Students generally feel inner peace, relaxation, and a sense of renewal from this class.Gentle Yoga (Kripalu)
This yoga class is a gentler version of the Level 1. It is a Kripalu-inspired, meditative class with longer holding for a deep, "in-body" experience. Lots of silence to enhance the peaceful nature of yoga. Emphasis on breath, trusting the body's wisdom and Eastern philosophy. If you have issues with blood pressure, knees, shoulders, or other joints, this might be a better class for you than Level 1, and it is a good starting point for a new person.Gentle Yoga (Viniyoga)
This class places special emphasis on the coordination of movement with breath, and the therapeutic benefits of yoga practice.Introduction to Yoga
A class designed to introduce people who are new to yoga to the basics of yoga. Includes postures (asanas), breathing (pranayama), and relaxation (savasana). This is the best way to get started with yoga. Come any Monday night and get started with your practice. Students new to yoga who are unable to attend an Introduction class may start in either a Gentle, Extra Gentle or Level 1 class.Level 2 (Intermediate)
The student can expect a moderate-to-intense class. For experienced students only. Taught in the Anusara-inspired tradition.Level 1 & 2 (Mixed Level)
This class is taught to the level of the students in the class that particular day. Options are offered for different levels. Beginners are better off in Gentle or Level 1.Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Physically challenging, energetic class where postures flow into each other. Faster paced, includes sitting, standing, lying down and inversions. Prior yoga experience is recommended.Kundalini Yoga, Wednesdays at 12:45
A typical class begins with chanting, ends with singing, and in between features asana, pranayama, and meditation. Expect to encounter challenging breathing exercises and movement-oriented postures, often repeated for minutes. Hatha yoga postures or asanas are secondary. No hands-on assists are given in Kundalini, and there are no levels such as introductory or advanced. The primary goal of Kundalini is to awaken Kundalini energy. Community Class Level 1
This is a free level 1 class taught by teachers who are new. It gives them a chance to get teaching experience. Students should have yoga experience to participate in this class, no beginners please. We also ask that you fill out the evaluation forms in the lobby to give the teacher feedback on his or her teaching. This class is offered when possible and is announced in our weekly emails --sign up for our emails.Extra Gentle (Viniyoga)
This class places special emphasis on the coordination of movement with breath, and the therapeutic benefits of yoga practice. Ideal for beginners, seniors, and those with injuries or other physical limitations. Taught in a chair and also standing using the wall.Core Yoga
This open level class will use asanas, stretches, and exercises for strengthening the core muscles of the abdomen, back, pelvic floor and hips. A strong core will improve your posture as well as your yoga practice, everyday exercise routine, and participation in sports. Join us as we find and strengthen the many layers of the core. Work at your own level.Prenatal Yoga
Yoga for Everybody offers a prenatal class Thursdays at 5:45p.m and Sundays at 4:30p.m. Please note that the Sunday class is unable to meet once a month because of a weekend yoga teacher training program in the studio. The prenatal class is designed for expectant mothers. Modified postures will help ease the discomforts that come along with pregnancy. Prepare for childbirth while releasing stress and the worries of pregnancy. Take time to develop a relationship with your baby. Permission from your OB/GYN caretaker is requested before attending class.Mommy & Me Yoga
This class is for new mothers and their babies (for babies who are not yet crawling).Restorative

Class size is limited to 18 students. If you are not there 10 minutes before the start of class and if someone is waiting for a space in the hallway, they will be offered that space. If you do run late, please wait on the landing out by the bathrooms until the centering has completed then join the rest of the class.**Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is an ancient form of meditation that will take you into the deepest levels of relaxation while still remaining fully aware. It is practiced lying down in savasana (on your back, in corpse pose) and induces complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Yoga Nidra helps to reduce the tensions that create stress, disease and unhappiness. This is not a separate class -- there is a mini-version of it on Thursday nights in Evelyne's 7:30 Level 1 class. It is also presented in full during the Maha Sadhana Workshop (next one, Sunday, May 16). Guest teacher Rajeev Dubey will also present Yoga Nidra in its entirety on Saturday, May 15.Beginners
Beginners should come to an Intro to Yoga class where postures are explained step by step. The student can expect to learn the fundamentals of hatha yoga. Students new to yoga who are unable to attend these introductions may start in either an Extra Gentle, Gentle or Level 1 class.Yoga At The Beach
